The West is Cultivating Syria’s Enmity to the West

Fear and Hunger Amid Battle for Aleppo was the headline, meanwhile, Hillary Clinton just continues to yak. By contrast America was not too concerned about Russia’s veto when the US was seeking Gaddafi’s head. There is no time for gentle words, only action. Russia is never going to agree to an embargo, or a military intervention in Syria because Rosoboronexport, the state arms trader for Russia is profiting from a $550 million sale on combat jets to Syria State (August 15,2012 Huffington Post). Oh, that’s right, America really telling Russia like it is, with America’s history of their Military-Industrial Complex selling arms to hostile nations, would make it too obvious that America and Russia are Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb.

At Dodge City, the killer, outlaw gang, call the town’s folk out for a gunfight. We know there’s gonna be lots of blood in the streets, and we know it’s not going to be a fair fight. The outlaw Syria State is sitting in a tank, with helicopters and jets overhead. The townsmen only want to be free, so they go out to meet the killer with only a gun. The EU want a fair fight so call for a EU arms embargo. America, by the evidence of unequipped Syrian resisters, seem to be complying with the EU embargo, and so America, Canada, and the West stand on the sidelines of the fight, cheer loudly for the fighters. Applaud, applaud, the West will give the Syrian freedom fights a few bullets; not too many though. As the battle goes on in the streets of Aleppo or Damascus the freedom fights often have to pull back – not that they do not have the courage, rather because they have run out of bullets. For mercy sake, at least give the fighter weapons that will balance the fight and save the lives of brave fighters and the citizens themselves.

But it’s not just weapons. America, Canada, and the West can do the good talk, but the wounded are in hospitals being operated on with often no pain killers. “We need to take the child’s leg off. Hit him in the head with a rock to knock him out, we have no painkillers to operate.” West, why hasn’t someone, in the 10 months of the State attacking the people, at least gotten some anesthetic for the wounded. Damn the bureaucracies, it should have been there 8 months ago. If it had of been your wives and children, you would have jumped into a jet and flown it over yourselves the very next day. It is true, indifference is often far worse than hatred.

When the civil war is over, you will wonder why the liberators are not buddy buddy with the West; the West has made them wade through far more of their blood than was necessary. They know that despite the West having lots of weapons, the West chose to argue off in a safe room for their safety. The question will remain, why did they simply leave the Syrian people vulnerable? And now with a final question, why is the West so stupid that they do not know that the West, here and now are cultivating a relationship of animosity, resentment and suspicion with all their idle hypocritical chatter.

About pushinback

Back in 1993, I attended an anti-Nafta rally in Ottawa along with over 110,000 others. But despite the overwhelming opposition to NAFTA, the steamroller rolled on. It was there that I came to understand the one vital thing that I have been preaching ever since. There are so many issues, and so many fighting each issue, we are all spinning our wheels, and wasting our time, talents and energy, because each election, we give the politicians our power and so the deck is stacked against us. I said it that day and I say it with more fervency today. We all have one issue that we share, and we should all stop fighting for our own issues and losing anyways, and we should fight to achieve that one thing that we all share. We Canadians all have to fight to finally get a say between elections. We need to fight to make politicians accountable to us, the people. If there is no accountability, and the people have no say between elections, we have no Democracy. My Blog is written to teach the reader the essential knowledge of freedom and Democracy. Please read, and learn. I am one person, but I leave you my witness that one person is not powerless, only first you must first learn and then act. Let the democratic revolution begin. Kindest regards, Rob McQueen

Did the Americans not instigate the war by supporting Al Qaeda (through CIA) and other factions and spew propaganda at what a monster Assad is? Maybe I am totally wrong but it smells like Libya all over again and that would be in line with their agenda for taking over the whole middle east. The US et al does not go and liberate people in another country. They only “regime change” or implement coup d’etates or assassinate or kidnap leaders.

Thanks for your comment. I think that the eruption of the Middle East nations erupted wasn’t due to Al Qaeda. Rather, those nations have been under the foot of oppressive dictators with no democracy and little to no freedoms or rights. Why the revolt and demand for democracy now is due to, I believe, that a combination of occurrences have shown those people how life could be for them. Often people from their countries emigrate to the West and taste life as we live it, with the many freedoms and rights that we have. Some times those people go back and tell their family and friends how wonderful it is not to live lives constantly in fear and being free. Often family and friends stay in the West and tell them via their correspondence home. More powerfully, the internet has gone to those countries and whole population simultaneously are in contact with the outside of their countries world and see our freedom. I believe that everyone, deep in their souls, want to be free, and live lives without fear of retribution by some dictator trying to keep control by intimidation and violence.

My reason for writing this article was not to provoke anyone to think that America should jump into another war. The US is in remarkable debt partly because of war, sticking their noses where it didn’t belong. When the freedom fights defeat the Syrian regime, it will be seen that America never had to send jets to defeat the regime, but America and the West could have at least armed those that were willing to die for their freedom. It is a shame for the brave and civilians to be butchered while the so-called civilized world looks on. And if nothing else the world could at least send medicine to repair the bodies of the injured, particularly painkillers and anesthetics for surgery. My father lost his leg in WW2. He had numerous leg wounds and lay in a field for more than a day before the medics got to him, so I suppose I am especially sensitive to the fact that there are people forced to suffer such pain for no good reason, other than the indifference of the free world.
