Left Wing, Right Wing, It’s All Horse Puckies

As you often do, you hear people , or more often commentators, say of a candidate, or person, he or she is left wing, or left leaning, or conversely a person or candidate is right wing in politics. But exactly what does that mean? At the same time, these same people would say that Hitler’s Germany was right wing, and Stalin’s Russia was left wing. If you put much thought to it you would see the absurdity of the comment and the thinking. Aside from Hitler allowing the rich to be opportunistic with his tyranny, with him and Stalin taking everything to himself, as governments, their tactics were much the same. In my early circles we spoke of these 2 governments as sister political philosophies.  Their tactic was to take power to themselves, and crush everyone that descents and stands in their way.

In our modern world, we are told that Obama is left leaning and Romney is right leaning. In Canada, the NDP is seen as left wing, while Harper is seen as right wing.

Here is a visual of how we are told to see the political world. And remember that this idea of left and right is a new concept.

Left wing ———————————-Democracy——————————— Right Wing

Yet, to those who love freedom and true Democracy, there is a different way to see politics and power. Here is a new way to see power and politics.

(no restrictions)    (Limited restrictions)                                              (No freedoms or power)

When we see Democracy and freedom in this way we become more jealous of our power and freedom. When you see it this way you can see yourself in this World as a Freeman, or Peasant.  Democracy is about freedom, security and seeking peace. Fascist and Communism are both about a loss of freedom, and terror. Fascist and Communism, they are sister philosophies, and the terms right wing and right wing become a smokescreen that hinder us from seeing our Democracy in its true light. Remember this about the important left and right – Democracy being closer to anarchy than to dictatorship, it will remind you to fight to be free.

About pushinback

Back in 1993, I attended an anti-Nafta rally in Ottawa along with over 110,000 others. But despite the overwhelming opposition to NAFTA, the steamroller rolled on. It was there that I came to understand the one vital thing that I have been preaching ever since. There are so many issues, and so many fighting each issue, we are all spinning our wheels, and wasting our time, talents and energy, because each election, we give the politicians our power and so the deck is stacked against us. I said it that day and I say it with more fervency today. We all have one issue that we share, and we should all stop fighting for our own issues and losing anyways, and we should fight to achieve that one thing that we all share. We Canadians all have to fight to finally get a say between elections. We need to fight to make politicians accountable to us, the people. If there is no accountability, and the people have no say between elections, we have no Democracy. My Blog is written to teach the reader the essential knowledge of freedom and Democracy. Please read, and learn. I am one person, but I leave you my witness that one person is not powerless, only first you must first learn and then act. Let the democratic revolution begin. Kindest regards, Rob McQueen
