I don’t like winter, so as fall approaches, I think a lot of the winter to come. So, on Sept 1st, that light that seems to go off over cartoons heads went off over my own head and I knew the course of action I had to take to stave off the snows of winter. When that first tree has its leaves turn even the least of colour, natural splendor they call it, I must march out into the stillness of that pristine forest, and with resolve of understanding the ways of nature, I much chop down that bugger tree and immediately burn it. All the while hoping that none of the other trees have noticed that first trees leaf change, or me dragging the tree’s dead body from, and hoping that they will not change leaf colour also.
My humble hypothesis is that if I can stop the first tree from changing, I can also stop the fall. If I can stop the onset of the fall, it only stands to reason, that I can also steer us clear of the winter as well.
